Currently it is Illegal to skate in the roadway according to Dallas City Code.
The good part is that this is a rarely enforced Ordinance - the bad part is that it is enforced around White Rock Lake where the existing bike trail is in horrible condition. The only place in Dallas that anyone has been stopped due to the Ord. has been by an Officer Skidmore of the DPD while they were skating around White Rock Lake on the roadway... A road which has a 20 mph speed limit.

We at Pegasus Flyers Inline Skate Club are working with the Dallas City Council to change that law.
